4 TESTING

Before and after servicing a Navigator scale, an operational test and various performance tests should
be made to confirm that the scale meets specifications. Turn the scale on and allow it to warm up for
at least one hour before performing these tests.
NOTE:
Make sure the test area is free from drafts and that the scale rests on a level and vibration-free
surface.
4.1 TEST MASSES REQUIRED
The masses required to test the Ohaus Navigator scales must meet the requirements of ASTM
Class 4 or OIML F2 Tolerance. The mass values are listed in Table 4-1.
