Unusual
lighting conditions which necessi-
tate exposure

the subject,

situations,

camera
might
be fooled in to givinK

readin
g
which would underexpose
you

subject,
so
you
must
give
it

tionally ove rexposed shots.
On the
other hand, i

is
necessary to reduce
the exposure for a
low-key
shot.

O
ne
device
for
correcting expos
ure
in
Lile
AE mode is
the
exposure compensation
dial.
To
make the correction.
simply
hold
in
the
exposure
compensation
lock
button
while
turning
the
OU
ter knurled edge or
the
ASA
se
t
tin
g
dia
l un
til
th
e
co mpensa
ti
o
n
dial
in
dex is
aligned
with the
desired c
orrect
ion.
The
exposure
compensaLion
scale covers a
full
±2
f/
stop
range in indications of

(underexposure
by

f/stops),

exposure

AE
ex-
posu
re)
,
2 (overexposu

scale

settings may

handy for bracketing the

increments, depending on the
situation,
the
readout will not necessarily
change
to
