6.2.2 Rear axle
This is a sealed single unit which does not require maintenance. It
is permanently lubricated and this lubricant does not need changing
or topping up.
6.2.3 Battery
To ensure long life to the battery, it is es-
sential to keep it carefully maintained.
The battery on your machine must be
charged before using for the first time
(
3.4).
During periods when it is not used,
the charge level can be kept con-
stant by using the maintenance
battery charger supplied. For this
purpose the machine is supplied
with a connector (1) to be con-
nected to the corresponding bat-
tery charger connector.
IMPORTANT
No device other than the battery charger is to be
connected to this connector.
IMPORTANT
The charge must be maintained with the battery
charger, following the instructions given in the instruction booklet.
Other recharging systems may definitively damage the battery.
A low battery must be recharged as soon as possible. Otherwise,
irreparable damage could be done to the batteryʼs elements.

Periodically check the electrolyte level, which must be between the
MIN and MAX marks on the battery. When topping off, use ONLY dis-
tilled water for batteries.

6.3 CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS

6.3.1 Dismantling, sharpening and balancing blades
Blades that are badly sharpened tear at the grass, reduce collection
and make the lawn turn yellow.
