4 TAKING A READING

The procedure for taking a reading with a
High Temperature PINIP™ probe is the same
as for a standard Elcometer 456 probe,
however the following points should be
noted:
Take
PINIP™ probes are capable of
measuring on surfaces up to 250°C
(480°F).
Wear appropriate protective clothing and
avoid bodily contact with the hot surface
during measurement.
Measurement speed. When
high temperature materials measurement
speed
must
overheating of the probe. The maximum
measurement speed of the High Temperature
PINIP™ probe at 250°C (480°F) is 4 readings
per minute.

5 PACKAGING

The Elcometer High Temperature PINIP™
probe is packed in a cardboard and foam
package. Please ensure that this packaging
is disposed of in an environmentally sensitive
manner. Consult your local Environmental
Authority for further guidance.
