To adjust the gibs:
1. DISCONNECT MILL FROM POWER!
2.
Make sure the table locks are loose, and the
ways are free from chips and lubricated so
that they can move smoothly.
3.
Loosen the hex nuts on the gib set screws,
then unthread the set screws 1–2 full revolu-
tions.
4.
Move the sliding component back and forth
a couple of inches to make sure the gib is
loose.

Qty 5. Re-tighten each set screw until resistance is
felt as it meets the gib.
6.
Move the sliding component back and forth to
test the movement.
— If the movement is too loose, tighten each
set screw the same amount.
— If the movement is too tight, loosen each
set screw the same amount.
7.
When you are satisfied with the movement
of the sliding component, re-tighten the hex
nuts without moving the set screws.
