8.2 Displaying the topology

Procedure:
 Open the Diagnostics > LLDP dialog.
The "Topology Discovery" frame displays the collected LLDP information for
the neighboring devices. This information enables the network management
station to map the structure of your network.
Parameter
Meaning
Port
Displays the number of the device port.
Neighbor Identifier Displays the chassis ID of the neighboring device. This can be the basis
MAC address of the neighboring device, for example.

Displays the IP address with which the management functions of the

Displays a description for the device port of the neighboring device.

If you use a port to connect several devices, for example via a hub, the table
contains a line for each connected device.
The FDB address table contains MAC addresses of devices that the topology
table hides for the sake of clarity.
