Figure 1. RET630 and REM630 IEDs applied for the incoming feeder and primary switchgear
in a single busbar arrangement. The RET630 with preconfiguration A is used for
protection and control of the power transformer, the REM630 IEDs with
preconfiguration A are used for the circuit-breaker and contactor operated motor
feeders. The motor start-up signal from each REM630 is connected to the "Restart
inhibit" inputs of the other REM630s. Hence while one motor is starting-up, the
starting of the other motors is inhibited.
