Starting the Motor

Note: Do not eat, drink or smoke for at least 15 minutes before the test. This
could contaminate the breath sample.
G Series User Guide
USI NG T HE I NTE RLOC K
1. The interlock turns on automatically
when you plug it in, or when you
turn the key to ON. WAIT displays as
the unit warms up.
If the interlock is plugged in, but has
gone into sleep mode, turn the power on
again by pressing the navigation button.
Alternatively, you can move the key
between the On and Off positions.
Note: The ignition must be OFF before you can
continue. Turning on the ignition
2. The handset displays Blow for 5
seconds when it has finished warm-
ing up. The warm-up time may be
longer in cold temperatures.
Note: Do not store the mouthpiece to be used
in a cold area. This causes condensation in the
mouthpiece and increases the chance for water
to enter the handset.
3. Insert a clean mouthpiece. Using a
clean mouthpiece is good hygiene,
and it helps ensure a usable breath
sample.
