Inspections

Test the Platform Level Recovery

77 Press down the foot switch.
78 Push and hold the platform level recovery
switch up.
79 Move the platform level switch up and the level
of the platform will raise.
Result: The platform should return to a level
position.
80 Move the platform level switch down and the
level of the platform will lower.
Result: The platform should return to a level
position.
81 Note: The platform level switch will only work
in the direction that will return the platform to a
level position.

Test Emergency Controls

82 Push in the red Emergency Stop button to the
off position to shut off the engine.
83 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the
on position.
84 Press down the foot switch.
85 Activate the emergency controls. Move and
hold the switch or push and hold the button.
Activate each function control handle, toggle
switch or thumb rocker switch.
Note: To conserve battery power, test each
function through a partial cycle.
Result: All boom and steer functions should
operate.

Test Aircraft Protection Package

(if equipped)
Note: Two people may be required to perform this
test.
86 Move the yellow bumper at the bottom of the
platform 10 cm in any direction.
87 Activate each function control handle or toggle
switch.
Result: No boom and steer functions should
operate.
88 Activate the function override. Move and hold
the switch or push and hold the button.
89 Activate each function control handle or toggle
switch.
Result: All boom and steer functions should
operate.

Test the Lift/Drive Select Function

90 Press down the foot switch.
91 Move the drive control handle off center and
activate a boom function.Push a boom function
button or move a boom function switch.
Result: No boom functions should operate.
The machine will move in the direction
indicated on the control panel.
