    General information Other applicable documentation General information Other applicable documentation ® The functions of the device depend on the characteristics of the MOVIPRO drive and application controller with which the device is operated. ® If the MOVIPRO drive and application controller has the function W4  =  WLAN/ TCP + UDP, you can use the device.

    Properties Functional description Properties Functional description ® The MOVIPRO device has a "Radio Ethernet Client 5 GHz" (REC5) radio modem for connection to a wireless infrastructure network. It can be used for the frequency blocks 2.4 GHz (IEEE 802.11b/g) and 5 GHz (IEEE 802.11a). The radio connection is designed for communication with the higher-level controller.

    Properties Antenna connection operating modes – Open system authentication – Shared key authentication • Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2) Authentication is with PSK (pre-shared key). The recommended encryption method is WPA2-AES-PSK. Encryption methods that use a radius server are not supported due to their long latency periods during logon and handover.

    Antenna connections Antenna connections NOTICE Damage to the radio modem due to missing antennas or terminating resistors. Damage to the radio modem. • Connect a 50 Ω terminating resistor to those antenna ports that are not in use. Two antennas are connected to a wireless card. The connections are designated as X4211 (WLAN antenna (main)) and X4261 (WLAN antenna (aux)).
