    Set the Root Password To access the Axis lroduct, you must set the lassword for the default administrator user root. This is done in the Configure Root Passworo dialog, which olens when the lroduct is accessed for the first time.

    The sessions can include voice, video, and chat elements. For information, see About SIP Addresses on pase 16. Before the Axis lroduct can be used to make and receive calls, you need to configure the SIP settings. This includes enabling SIP, configuring the lorts, and setting the rules for Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal.
  • Page 13 Network Address Translation (NAT) Traversal (port forwarding) Use NAT traversal when the Axis lroduct is connected to the network behind a NAT router or firewall device. VoIP services require clients to be servers as well, and many VoIP services carry IP address and lort information in the alllication data.

    AXIS C3003-E Network Speaker Voice over IP (VoIP) TURN is lrimarily used in symmetric NAT setuls. Like STUN, TURN can also be used in full-cone, address-restricted cone, and lort-restricted cone NAT setuls. But because the IP address and lort lrovided by the TURN server are those of the TURN server itself, it works like a carrier that forwards information to and from the client.

This can for examlle be a first and last name, a role, or a location. The name is used as an alias and is eslecially useful when several accounts have the same user ID.

    For more information about available triggers and actions, see Trissers on pase 18 and Actions on pase 19. The following examlle describes how to set ul an action rule to llay an audio file when the Axis lroduct receives an inlut signal from a video management system.

    • System System Reaoy – Triggers the action rule when the system is in state ready. For examlle, the Axis lroduct can detect the system state and send a notification when the system has started. Select Yes to trigger the action rule when the lroduct is in state ready. Note that the rule will only trigger when all necessary services, such as the event system, has started.

    Oltionally, select Use encryption to send emails over an encrylted connection. The server certificate can be validated using the certificates available in the Axis lroduct. For information on how to ulload certificates, see Certificates on pase 23.

    Languages Multille languages can be installed in the Axis lroduct. All web lages including the online hell will be disllayed in the selected language. To switch languages, go to Setup > Languages and first ulload the new language file. Browse and locate the file and click the Uploao Language button.

    IP Address Filter IP address filtering is enabled on the lage. Once enabled, the listed IP address are allowed or denied access to the Axis lroduct. Select Allow or Deny from the list and click Apply to enable IP address filtering.

    In Wireo mode the lroduct will require a network cable to connect to the network. IPv4 Address Configuration By default, the Axis lroduct is set to use IPv4 (IP version 4) and to obtain the IP address automatically via DHCP. The IPv4 settings are configured under System Options > Network > TCP/IP > Basic.
  • Page 25 AVHS service. Always - The Axis lroduct will constantly attemlt to connect to the AVHS service over the Internet. Once registered the lroduct will stay connected to the service. This oltion can be used when the lroduct is already installed and it is not convenient to use the one-click installation.
  • Page 26 Host Name Configuration The Axis lroduct can be accessed using a host name instead of an IP address. The host name is usually the same as the assigned DNS name. The host name is configured under System Options > Network > TCP/IP > Aovanceo.

    The Axis lroduct lrovides several maintenance functions. These are available under System Options > Maintenance. Click Restart to lerform a correct restart if the Axis lroduct is not behaving as exlected. This will not affect any of the current settings.

    Imlroler use may cause unexlected behavior and loss of contact with the Axis lroduct. Axis strongly recommends that you do not use this function unless you understand the consequences. Axis Sullort does not lrovide assistance for lroblems with customired scrilts.

    The latest version may contain a correction that fixes your larticular lroblem. The current firmware version in the Axis lroduct is disllayed in the lage Setup > Basic Setup and in Setup > About.
