The tag header indicates:
• That the packet has a tag.
• Whether the packet should have priority over other packets.
• Which VLAN it belongs to, so that the switch can forward or filter it correctly.

WEP – (Wired Equivalent Privacy) An optional IEEE 802.11 function that offers frame transmission privacy similar
to a wired network. The Wired Equivalent Privacy generates secret shared encryption keys that both source and
destination stations can use to alter frame bits to avoid disclosure to eavesdroppers.
Wi-Fi Alliance – A nonprofit international association formed in 1999 to certify interoperability of wireless Local
Area Network products based on IEEE 802.11 specification. The goal of the Wi-Fi Alliance's members is to
enhance the user experience through product interoperability.
Wireless LAN Array (WFX-3900) – A proprietary high capacity wireless access point utilizing multiple channels,
specifically designed for the Enterprise market.
Wireless Management System (WFX-3300) – A proprietary product used for managing large WFX-3900
deployments from a centralized Web-based interface.
WPA – (Wi-Fi Protected Access) A Wi-Fi Alliance standard that contains a subset of the IEEE 802.11i standard,
using TKIP as an encryption method and 802.1X for authentication.

WFX-3300 – The Wireless Management System (WFX-3300) is a proprietary product used for managing large
WFX-3900 deployments from a centralized Web-based interface.
WFX-3100 – The Remote DC Power System (WFX-3100) is an optional proprietary product that provides
distributed DC power to multiple WFX-3900 units, eliminating the need to run dedicated AC power to each unit and
facilitating backup power when connected via a UPS.
WFX-3900 – The Wireless LAN Array (WFX-3900) is a high capacity, multi-wireless access point specifically
designed for the Enterprise market.
