Recording to a tape

–– CD Synchro Recording/Recording Manually/Program Edit
You can record from a disc (or connected components) or radio. You can use Type I (normal) tape.
Recording from a VIDEO CD/CD
Steps
(CD Synchro Recording)

Load a recordable tape into the cassette holder.

Load a disc onto the disc tray.
Press FUNCTION (or CD on the remote)

repeatedly until "CD" appears in the
display.

Press CD SYNCHRO.
The tape stands by for recording.

To start recording on the side facing away from you, press TAPE nN until

Press DIRECTION repeatedly to select "g" to record on one side of the tape, or

"h" or "j" to record on both sides.

Press TAPE X.
To stop recording
Press x.
Note
Depending on the VIDEO CD, you cannot use the CD
Synchro Recording. In this case, record from the
VIDEO CD manually.
Tip
For recording manually:
To pause recording, press TAPE X.
Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select
the source you want to record from.
Load a disc (or other audio source), or
tune in the desired station.
Press z REC.

Press TAPE X, and then start playing
the desired source.
