Horizontal Installation Orientations
In order to avoid low pressure in the sensor and thereby gas separation within the liquid, the sensor should
be inserted deep into the piping system. Because of capillary action the sensor is not self draining.
For low flowrates a horizontal installation is recommended, so gas bubbles can be more readily
removed.
To prevent outgassing of the gas from the liquid, a back pressure of at least 0.1 to 0.2 bar is recommended.

To achieve optimum performance, the multi-connection plug is to be installed as shown in the figure. The
multi-connection plug can be rotated within the angle noted.

Vertical Installations
To avoid low pressure in the sensor with accompanying gas separation in the liquid, the instrument should
be installed deep into the piping system.
