spanning-tree port-priority
To configure an interface priority when two bridges tie for position as the root bridge, use the
spanning-treeport-priority command in interface configuration mode. To return to the default value, use
the no form of this command.
spanning-tree [vlan vlan-id] port-priority port-priority
no spanning-tree [vlan vlan-id] port-priority

port-priority

The port priority is 128.

Usage Guidelines
The priority you set breaks the tie.
Examples
The following example shows how to increase the likelihood that a port will be put in the forwarding state if
a loop occurs:
Switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet2/0/2
Switch(config-if)# spanning-tree vlan 20 port-priority 0

(Optional) Specifies the VLAN range associated with the spanning-tree
instance. The range is 1 to 4094.
The port priority in increments of sixteen. The range is 0 to 240.
The default is 128.
