Layer 2 Commands

spanning-tree mst forward-time

To set the forward-delay timer for MST instances, use the spanning-tree mst forward-time command in
global configuration mode. To return to the default settings, use the no form of this command.
spanning-tree mst forward-time seconds
no spanning-tree mst forward-time

This example shows how to set the forward-delay timer for all MST instances:

Sets the interval between hello BPDUs sent by the root switch.
Sets the interval between messages that the spanning tree receives
from the root switch.
Specifies the number of hops allowed before a BDPU is discarded.
