7.23 Cab Tilt Procedure
The ROPS/FOPS approved cab (1) tilts up to allow easy access to components
while performing maintenance or service. It is equipped with a gas spring assist
and a brace mechanism to hold it in place while tilted.
To tilt the cab:
1.
Remove any attachments that may be fastened to the machine.
2.
Raise the lift arms and secure with lift arm brace.
3.
Remove the four bolts that fasten the cab to the frame.
4.
Raise the cab and watch to make sure the lock-out brace falls into
place.
5.
Secure the cab lock-out brace with the D-latch pin (2) as shown.
Note: The lift arms must be raised in order to tilt the canopy.
To lower the cab:
1.
Raise the cab slightly and remove the d-latch pin securing the cab brace.
2.
Pivot the brace out of the way as you lower the cab back onto the chassis.
3.
Reinstall the bolts that secure the cab to the chassis, tighten in place.
4.
Remove the lift arm brace according to the procedure in section 5.14, lower
the lift arms and turn the engine off to complete the procedure.
