Getting started
To disable password protection
If you disable your password, the Lock screen does not appear after
the specified amount of idle time. You do not need to type your
password to open the Security screen or to connect your handheld
to your desktop.
Note: If you disable password protection, you can continue to use the
keyboard lock feature to lock your handheld. Refer to "To use keyboard
lock" on page 53 for more information.
1. On the Home screen, click the Options icon. The Options screen
appears.
2. Click Security. The Security screen appears.
3. In the Password field, press
Disabled.
4. Click the trackwheel to view the menu, and then click Save.
5. A dialog box appears, prompting you to type your password.
6. Type your password and click the trackwheel.
You return to the Options screen with the password disabled.
