Connecting the handheld to the
desktop software
After you install the desktop software, you must confirm the
connection between your handheld and the desktop software.
To confirm the handheld-to-desktop
software connection
1. Verify that the cradle cable is properly plugged into an available
COM port on your computer and that your handheld is inserted
securely in the cradle.
2. If it is not already open, start the desktop software: on the
Windows taskbar, click Start and select Programs > BlackBerry
> Desktop Manager. The BlackBerry Desktop Manager appears.
