OWERING THE
The EMS-830T provides hot swapping capabilities, which allows LTU and UTU HDSL cards to be installed or
removed with the shelf power on or off. When power is first applied to an HDSL card, the following should occur:
•
The HDSL card performs a self test.
•
The front panel HDSL SYNC LEDs flash throughout the start-up process.
Refer to the appropriate technical practice for each installed LTU or UTU for information on how each line
unit should perform at power up.
