Connect backup DC power to the shelf through the five-position Power-terminal strip:

Use a flat-blade screwdriver to loosen the screw beneath the -48V connector labeled "B"

Insert the -48 Vdc cable from your primary -48 Vdc power supply, then tighten the screw you loosened in
step 1.

Use a flat-blade screwdriver to loosen the screw beneath the RTN connector labeled "B."

Insert the RTN cable from your backup -48 Vdc power supply, then tighten the screw you loosened in step 3.

Once you have the shelf correctly wired, you can install LTU or UTU HDSL cards:

Use a flat-blade screwdriver to loosen the two screws holding a slot faceplate in place, then remove the slot
