CAUTION
Ensure all four foot plates are in full contact
with the ground and that they are clear of
manhole covers, drains and unstable
ground etc.

Raising the manually operated stabilisers

Raising the stabilisers is the reverse of setting the
stabilisers.
The booms must be in the stowed position.
Ensure that the Boom/Stabiliser Switch is is set to
stabiliser.
Raise the stabilisers by pushing the individual
valve levers up (see Figure 8.4).
NOTE:
Ensure that the rear stabilisers are raised first to
prevent damage to the jockey wheel.

Self levelling stabilisers (Optional)

This option allows the stabilisers to be lowered and
the unit to be levelled by operating one switch at the
lower control station.

Setting the 'self levelling' stabilisers

To operate the 'self levelling' stabilisers the booms
must be in the stowed position.

1. Set the Master Key Switch  to ON (see
Figure 8.6).

2. Select stabiliser using the Stabiliser/Boom
switch € (see Figure 8.6)
3. Momentarily (3 - 6 seconds) press the
Stabiliser Lower Switch  (see Figure 8.6).
This will lower all four stabilisers and allow
the unit to "self level".
CAUTION
Before raising the boom ensure all four foot
plates are in full contact with the ground and
that they are clear of manhole covers, drains
and unstable ground etc.
The boom can now be operated in the normal man-
ner.

Raising the 'self levelling' stabilisers

To operate the stabilisers the booms must be in the
stowed position.
1. Select stabiliser using the Stabiliser/Boom
switch € (see Figure 8.6).
2. Hold switch  in the raise mode (up) until all
four stabilisers are fully raised in the stowed
position.
NOTE:
For machines fitted with this option it is possible
to set the stabilisers manually should this be
desired.
Setting the 'self levelling' stabilisers

To operate the 'self levelling' stabilisers manually
the booms must be in the stowed position.
1. The Master Key Switch  must be ON (see
Figure 8.6)
2. Select stabiliser using the Stabiliser/Boom
Switch € (see Figure 8.6).
3. Hold switch  'ON' (down) while each
individual switch ‚ is pushed down, one at a
time, (see Figure 8.7) until all four stabiliser
pads contact the ground ensuring that the
front stabilisers are lowered first to prevent
damage to the jockey wheel.
