Description
A flashing background environment influences the image
quality. To obtain high-resolution images, you can set the
background frequency to suit lighting conditions. Select a
proper background frequency based on the standard
frequency of the power grid. The default value is Disable.
NOTE
Disable the background frequency in natural light.
This function is used to compress the dynamic range based
on the human vision and increase brightness of dark areas to
retain more image details and ensure clear images.
NOTE
When Dynamic range compressor is set to Manual, you can drag
the Coefficient slider or enter a value in the spin box to adjust the
coefficient. The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 255. A larger
value indicates a greater increase of the image brightness.
This parameter is available only when you set Dynamic
range compressor to Disable.

Backlight/WDR/light suppression to Backlight
compensation
Various metering modes are provided to allow users to
select the most appropriate one for use in a variety of
lighting conditions. The options are as follows:
l Center-weighted average metering: In this metering
mode, the camera averages the exposure for the entire
metering area, but with greater emphasis on the center
metering zones.
l Average metering: In this metering mode, the camera
uses the light information coming from the entire scene
and averages for the final exposure setting, giving no
weighting to any particular portion of the metered area.
This parameter is available only when you set Background
frequency to Disable.
A higher shutter speed indicates a longer exposure time.
