4. Disconnect the system fan cable from the power fan connector on the system board. See "Parts on the
system board" on page 11.
5. The system fan is attached to the chassis by four rubber mounts. Remove the system fan by cutting the
rubber mounts and lifting the system fan out of the chassis.
Note: The new system fan comes with four new rubber mounts attached.

6. Install the new system fan by aligning the new rubber mounts (shipped with the new fan) with the
corresponding holes in the chassis. Push the rubber mounts through the holes. Then, carefully pull on
the tips of the rubber mounts from the bottom until the new system fan is secured in place.
