2.6 "HIRED" Mode – For charging for Time and/or Distance
In "HIRED" mode, your MR400 calculates a fare based on a combination
of the distance travelled by your vehicle and the time taken. At the start of
a journey in FOR HIRE mode, press the "MODE" button to get into
"HIRED" mode.
If your MR400 will not enter HIRED mode, and displays an error
message instead, please refer to the "Error Messages and Warnings"
section.
"Time Charging"

to select a new
rate to charge if
allowed by your
tariff.

f Your taxi's "hired" lamp is driven by the MR400. In HIRED mode, it is
normally turned ON. This depends, however, on how your meter has been
programmed.
