Set up of the bath requires careful unpacking and placement of the bath, filling
the bath with fluid, and connecting power. Consult Section 5, Installation, for
detailed instructions for proper installation of the bath. Be sure to place the
bath in a safe, clean and level location. Refer to Section 5.3, Tipping Prevention
Bracket, for Tipping Prevention Bracket installation instructions.
Fill the bath tank with an appropriate liquid. Be sure to select the correct fluid
for the temperature range of the calibration. Bath fluids should be selected to
operate safely with adequate thermal properties to meet the application require-
ments. For operation at moderate bath temperatures, clean distilled water works
well. Carefully pour the fluid into the bath tank through the large rectangular
access hole above the tank avoiding spilling any fluid.
CAUTION: When filling the tank, ensure the immersion coils are com-
pletely covered. DO NOT FILL ABOVE THE STIR BAFFLE. See Figure 1.
