Immediately close the main gas valve.

Do not operate any switches.

Ventilate the room where the appliance is located.
Tighten the screw thread connection.
Trace the leak.
Consult the supplier and/or manufacturer.
When draining (excessive) tap water, wait until the water in the
waterheater has reached the set temperature.
