ISPOSAL
Many areas prohibit overboard sewer discharge.
Close and disable fl ow-through waste systems
to prevent discharge in such areas.
Bag all refuse until it can be disposed of ashore.
Regulations prohibit disposal of plastic anywhere
in the marine environment and restrict other
garbage dis pos al within specifi ed distances
from shore.
NOTICE
• There is a pos si bil i ty of being fi ned for hav ing an
operable direct overboard discharge of waste in
some waters. Re mov ing seacock handle, in closed
position, or other means must be used to avoid
fi ne.
• It is illegal for any vessel to dump plas tic trash
anywhere in the ocean or nav i ga ble waters of the
United States.

CAUTION
FOR BOATS WITH VACUFLUSH
Do not place facial tissues, paper towels or sanitary
napkins in head. Such material can damage the waste
disposal system and the environment.

are no laws, courtesy demands that boats operate
quietly.

SPEED HAZARD - Watch your wake. It might capsize
a small craft. You are responsible for damage caused
by your wake.
Power boat wakes can endanger people and vessels.
Each power boat operator is re spon si ble for injury or
damage caused by the boat's wake. Be especially
careful in confined areas such as channels or
marinas. Observe "no wake" warnings.
