To keep your scanner/microimager in good operating condition, the
following tasks should be performed:
Cleaning the imaging guides (daily)
Cleaning the Document Scanning Array (daily)
Cleaning the feed and separator rollers (daily)
Cleaning the paper path (daily)
Vacuuming inside the scanner/microimager (daily)
Cleaning the exposure lamp housings (weekly)
Cleaning the mirrors (weekly)
Cleaning the cabinet (weekly)
Cleaning the film cassette(s) (monthly)
Cleaning the air filter (monthly)

Kodak publication A-61604. This publication is part of the
Maintenance and Feeder Adjustment procedure video, catalog number
828 5306.
Materials needed to perform all maintenance procedures are:
A mild cleaning agent
A quality lens cleaner
A soft, clean, lint-free cloth
A soft-bristled cleaning brush
A vacuum cleaner
Staticide Wipes
Roller Cleaning Pads
Paper Path Cleaner
IMPORTANT: Do not use any unauthorized commercial cleaning
solvent in any of the cleaning procedures.
Consumable parts that can be replaced by the customer include:
Air filter
Film cassette battery
DSA lamps
Exposure lamps
Imaging guides
Instructions on how to replace these parts are included later in this
chapter.
