Setting the input method

1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.
2. On the Personal tab, tap Input.
3. On the Input Method tab, select a required
input method from the Input method: list.
4. On the Word Completion tab, tap a desired
setting for word completion.
5. On the Options tab, tap the desired options for
writing and recording. These options apply to
any program on your Toshiba phone when you
can record or write.
NOTE: You can also change input options by
tapping the selector arrow and selecting
Options...

Security settings

It is advisable to apply certain security features in
the event that your Toshiba phone is lost or stolen.
In addition, some security features can be applied
to prevent unauthorised use.
You can apply the following security:
• Phone lock - using a PIN, this feature prevents
unauthorised use of your SIM card in any phone.
• Device lock - using a password, this feature
prevents unauthorised use of your Toshiba
phone.
• SIM Lock - using a password, this feature
prevents unauthorised use of your Toshiba
phone with other SIM cards. You can enable two
types of SIM Lock - the SIM Lock of your
Toshiba phone and a network-specific SIM
Lock.
Enabling phone lock
Be sure to make a note of your personal
identification number (PIN). When the SIM is
disabled, you must provide this PIN to enable the
SIM. The PIN is provided with your SIM card.
To enable the phone lock:
1. From the Today screen, tap Phone > Menu >
Options...
On the Phone tab, tick the Require PIN when
phone is used checkbox. To change the PIN at
any time, tap Change PIN.
