E-mail

Before you can send or receive e-mails, you need
to set up an e-mail account. Your Toshiba phone
supports the following types of e-mail accounts (all
of which are covered here):
• Internet e-mail (POP3/IMAP)
• Exchange server (Outlook)
Setting up an e-mail account
automatically
1. From the Today screen, tap Start >
Messaging > New E-mail Account.
2. Enter the e-mail address for this account into
the E-mail address: field.
3. Tick the Try to get e-mail settings
automatically from the Internet checkbox.
4. Tap Next.
5. If the account is set up successfully, you will be
prompted to send and receive e-mail.
If the account is not set up successfully, you will
need to tap Next and set up the account
manually, as described in the following section.
Setting up an e-mail account
manually
1. Select your e-mail provider from the list, then
tap Next.
2. Enter the name that you want displayed when
you send e-mail in the Your name: field.
3. Enter a unique name for this account in the
Account display name: field. (You must use a
different name for each account that you set
up.) Tap Next.
4. Enter the name of the incoming server in the
Incoming mail server: field.
5. Select the server type that hosts your e-mail
mailbox from the Account type: list (POP3 or
IMAP4). Tap Next.
6. Enter a user name in the User name: field. This
is usually the first part of your email address,
which appears before the '@' sign.
7. Enter a password in the Password: field.
TIP: Choose a strong password - strengthen
the security of your password by selecting a
combination of alphabet and numeric
characters.
