Generally, the maintenance personnel can only replace the faulty switching and

control card. Prohibit to replace the switching and control card in running status.
Recommend to replace the card during 00:00 to 05:00 with the minimum traffic.

Make sure that the service data has already been backed up.
à
Make sure that the new switching and control card is intact.
à
Be careful to avoid any short circuit caused by metal objects, including misplace
à
of tools or screws dropped into the shelf.
Align the switching and control card to the guide rail and carefully push it in along
à
the rail to connect accurately with the backplane.

The following are tools for replacing the main control card:
Antistatic wrist strap

Screwdriver

Antistatic bag

Preparations
The preparations are as follows:
Back up the current configuration data.
à
Back up the system configuration file.
à
Confirm whether the new switching and control card is the same as the original
à
one in type.
Record the cable positions, and check whether the labels on the cables are
à
correct, clear and tidy. If the labels are not visible, make a new label to prevent
any mistake on connecting cables.
To replace the switching and control card, perform the following steps:
