5.1 Cutover Definition
Cutover is to replace a device which is currently running in the network with a new one
in the period with the minimum service traffic. The service is transmitted to the new one
smoothly. Cutover is often used to handle faults, update devices, promote new services,
and optimize the network structure.
Note:
If the service cannot be transmitted from the old device to the new one, it is necessary
to switch the service back to the old device immediately and ensure the service can be
restored in a certain period.
