(Four-wheel low) : Use this
position to deliver extra torque to all
four wheels. Used for extreme
off-road conditions.

Getting Started

Check Before Starting
.
If all windows, mirrors, exterior
lighting and number plates are
free from dirt.
.
Tyre pressure and condition, see
Wheels and Tyres 0 277
and Tyre Pressure 0 322
.
Engine oil level and fluid levels.
see Engine Oil 0 253
.
Proper position of seats, seat
belts and mirrors, see Seat
Position 0 40, Three-Point
Safety Belt 0 50 and Power
Mirrors 0 31.

Check brake function at low
speed, especially if the brakes
are wet.
Starting Engine with the
Ignition Switch
.
Turn the key to ACC (1).
.
Move the steering wheel slightly
to release the steering
wheel lock.
.
For manual transmission press
clutch, for automatic
transmission press brake and
move selector lever in P or N.
.
Do not accelerate.
In Brief
.
Turn the key to position ON (2)
for preheating until control
K
indicator
goes out. If the
control indicator illuminates, wait
until it goes out.
.
Turn the key to position START
(3) and release when the engine
is running.
Before restarting or switching off the
engine, turn the key back to
ACC (1).
