IBM ThinkPad 310E/310ED: User's Guide
Increasing memory capacity is an effective way to make programs
run faster. You can increase the amount of memory in your
computer by installing a memory option, called dual inline memory
module or DIMM, to increase your computer's memory.
Important!
Changing memory while your computer is in hibernation mode
may cause permanent damage to the equipment.
To install the new DIMM, do the following:
1
Turn the power off.
2
Disconnect all cables and other devices, including the AC
adapter.
3
Take out the battery pack, if it is installed.
4
Turn the computer over on its base.
5
Remove the screw
Then remove the memory door
that holds the memory door in place.
