Chapter 1: Introduction 1.4 System Health Monitoring Onboard Voltage Monitors An onboard voltage monitor will scan the voltages of onboard chipset, memory, CPU, and battery continuously. Once a voltage becomes unstable, a warning is given, or an error message is sent to the screen. The user can adjust the voltage thresholds to define the sensitivity of the voltage monitor.
  • Page 20: Power Supply

As with all computer products, a stable power source is necessary for proper and reliable operation. It is even more important for processors that have high CPU clock rates. The X11SPL-F motherboard accommodates a 24-pin ATX power supply. Although most power supplies generally meet the specifications required by the CPU, some are inadequate. In addition, one 12V 8-pin power connection is also required to ensure adequate power supply to the system.
