The wires for the reference variable must be
connected to the terminals 11 and 12 locat-
ed in the housing.
In general, it is not necessary to connect the
positioner to a bonding conductor. Should
this be required, however, this conductor can
be connected inside the device or outside on
the device.
Depending on the version, the positioner is
equipped with inductive limit contacts and/
or a solenoid valve.
Versions with position transmitter do not per-
mit the connection of additional equipment.
The position transmitter is operated on a
two-wire circuit. The usual supply voltage is
24 V DC.
Taking the resistance of the supply leads into
account, the voltage at the position transmit-
ter terminals can be between 12 and
45 V DC.
Refer to Fig. 12 or to the label on the termi-
nal block.

4.2.1 Switching amplifier
The operation of the inductive limit contacts
requires switching amplifiers in accordance
with EN 60947-5-6 to be connected in the
output circuit. Observe the relevant regula-
tions for installation in hazardous areas.
