Checking the compatibility with IT (ungrounded) and
corner-grounded TN systems
WARNING! Do not install the drive with EMC filter +E200 or +E202 on an IT
system (an ungrounded power system or a high-resistance-grounded [over
30 ohms] power system), otherwise the system will be connected to ground potential
through the EMC filter capacitors of the drive. This can cause danger, or damage the
drive.
WARNING! Do not install the drive with the ground-to-phase varistor
connected on an IT system (an ungrounded power system or a high-
resistance-grounded [over 30 ohms] power system), otherwise the varistor circuit can
be damaged.
EMC filter
Drive EMC filters +E200 and +E202 are not suitable for use in an IT (ungrounded)
system. Disconnect the filter before you connect the drive to the supply network. For
instructions, see EMC filter and ground-to-phase varistor disconnecting instructions
for ACS880-01 drives (3AUA0000125152 [English]).
Ground-to-phase varistor
The ground-to-phase varistor of the drive is not suitable for use on an IT
(ungrounded) system. Disconnect the varistor before you connect the drive to the
supply network. For instructions, see EMC filter and ground-to-phase varistor
disconnecting instructions for ACS880-01 drives (3AUA0000125152 [English]).
690 V drives
Do not install 690 V drives on corner-grounded TN systems or corner-grounded IT
systems.
