Trend analysis

Planning and application
Trend analysis is used to monitor the states of electrical systems over long
periods and to receive early warnings of possible defects. The system
operator can use this information for planning and carrying out his
inspections and to undertake a repair, before the system fails.
Example: Should the current value change, telegrams are sent on the bus.
These telegrams can be evaluated on a PC and can be displayed as a
diagram using visualisation software. Changes which occur over an
extended period are easily recognisable. If the trend analysis is combined
with protocolling, a defective device can be quickly and easily identified.
