    Hardware setup If you are using the VX 520 with the external PINpad, follow these steps.     Optional external PINpad If an optional Moneris VX 820 external PINpad is connected to the VX 520 terminal and your merchant account is configured for it, your customer must enter their information on the external PINpad during transactions.     Cardholder verification Cardholder verification methods (CVM) The Moneris VX 520 supports the following card types and formats. These card types are not mutually exclusive.
