16.4.1 Configuring Firewall Rules

In the Firewall > Services screen, enter an index number and click Add or click
a rule's Edit icon to display this screen and refer to the following table for
information on the labels.

DESCRIPTION
This is the IP address of the computer from which traffic for the
application or service is initialized.
This is the IP address of the computer to which traffic for the application
or service is entering.
This is the port number/range of the source and destination that define
the traffic type, for example TCP port 80 defines web traffic.
Click the Edit icon to open a screen where you can modify an existing
rule.
Click the Remove icon to delete a rule from the NVG2053.
Enter an index number and click Add to add a new firewall rule before
the specified index number. For example, if you enter "6", your new rule
becomes number 6 and the previous rule 6 (if there is one) becomes
rule 7.
Type a number in the first field next to the Move button and click the
Move button to move the rule to the number that you typed in the
second field next to the Move button. The ordering of your rules is
important as they are applied in order of their numbering.
Click Apply to save your changes back to the NVG2053.
Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
