3.9 Cascading LINDY CPU Switch Juniors
Any number of LINDY CPU Switch Junior switches can be connected together to expand the total
number of connected computers. When LINDY CPU Switch Junior units are cascaded an external
power adapter must be connected to each of the LINDY CPU Switch Junior units. This avoids
trying to draw power for multiple LINDY CPU Switch Juniors from a connected CPU. The channels
on the cascaded LINDY CPU Switch Junior units can be selected using an extension of the
HOTKEY control function.
For example, consider a situation where two LINDY CPU Switch Junior 4 port units are connected
together as shown below. To connect to the computer attached to port 3 on LINDY CPU Switch
Junior B the user would hold down the hotkey keys then press '2' followed by '3', whilst keeping
the hotkey keys pressed. This will have the effect of connecting to port '3' of the LINDY CPU
Switch Junior which is connected into port '2' of the first LINDY CPU Switch Junior unit A.
