CO-HC-ESV-3P×7/0.2
■
Grounding
Connect the shield wire from the Communications Cable to the shell (FG) on
the RS-422A/485 connector on the Serial Communications Board/Unit.
At the same time, ground to 100 Ω or less the ground terminal on the Power
Supply Unit on the CPU Rack or the Expansion Rack.
Note
(1) Use shielded cables for wiring.
(2) Use only one type of transmission cable. Do not use two different types
of cable together.
(3) When cross-connecting lines and using a shielded cable for the RS-485
transmission path, ground only one end of the line. Do not connect it at
both ends. If the line is grounded at both ends, it may cause damage due
to the electric potential between the ground points.
■
Wiring the Connector
To connect the cable to the Serial Communications Unit/Board, use the
(XM3A-0921 or the equivalent model) Plug and (XM2S-0911-E or the equiva-
lent model) Hood included with each port on the Unit/Board and solder the
wires to the connector.
