Intrinsically Safe Installation Requirements

Do not substitute or modify system components as
this may impair intrinsic safety. For installation,
maintenance, or operation instructions, read
instruction manuals. Do not install equipment
approved only for non-hazardous location in a
hazardous location. See the identification label for
the intrinsic safety rating for your model.

1. The installation must meet the requirements of the
National Electric Code, NFPA 70, Article 504 Resp.,
Article 505, and ANSI/ISA 12.06.01.
2. Multiple earthing of components is allowed only if
high integrity equipotential system realized between
the points of bonding.
3. For ATEX, install per EN 60079-14 and applicable
local and national codes.
