The =!C 250 Arypton/4ntour reYuires regular maintenance to maintain pea7 performance. 4xcessive dust,
grease, and smo7e fluid buildup will degrade performance and cause overheating and damage that is not
covered by the warranty. The maintenance schedule will depend on the application and should be
discussed with your =artin distributor. Refer any service that is not described here to a professional
technician.
Danger!
Intense heat. Avoid contact by persons and materials. The exterior of the fixture can get
very hot - up to 120C C (24GC F). Disconnect the fixture from AC power and allow it to cool
for at least 45 minutes before handling.
Do not remove covers while the fixture is powered on, as this exposes dangerous live
electrical circuits, hot surfaces, and a lamp under high pressure.
Lamp replacement
damp life will vary. The rated life of a lamp is the average operating life before lamp failure in the
manufacturergs test cycle. To reduce the ris7 of lamp explosion, which may damage the fixture, we
recommend that lamps be changed when they reach the limit of their rated life. Never exceed a longKlife
lampgs rated life (3000 hours for the Qhilips =SD 250/2) by more than 10 percent.
Por maximum lamp life, avoid excessive stri7es and always allow the lamp to burn for at least 5 minutes
before turning it off.
Replace the lamp when:
D it stri7es with difficulty or not at all, or is in any other way defective
D hours of use exceed the manufacturergs ireplace beforek limit. See Table 6.
