DMX-512
CONTROL
The =!C 250 Arypton/4ntour is compatible with ]SITT D=c512 controllers.
The full protocol is available in iD=c protocolk on page 33.
The fixture has two D=c operating modes, 16Kbit and 16Kbit 4xtended. 16Kbit 4xtended mode uses 17 D=c
channels, three more than the 14 D=c channels than standard 16Kbit mode reYuires. 16Kbit 4xtended mode
provides more precise control of the dimmer color, and focus settings. !ll other functions are identical. See
iD=c protocolk on page 25.This section briefly describes the D=cKcontrollable effects. The D=c mode is
selected using the QS4T option in the fixture control menu (see iControl menuk on page 41).

Lamp power

L A M P - O N
]nless automatic lamp stri7e is enabled, lamp power remains off until a lampKon command is sent from the
controller.
Note: ! pea7 of electric current that can be many times the operating current is drawn for an instant when
stri7ing a discharge lamp. Stri7ing many lamps at once may cause a voltage drop large enough to prevent
lamps from stri7ing or draw enough current to trip circuit brea7ers. If sending lampKon commands to multiple
fixtures, program a seYuence that stri7es lamps one at a time at 5 second intervals.
L A M P - O F F
The lamp can be turned off from the controller by sending the lampKoff command on channel 1 for 5
seconds. The lamp cannot be restruck for 8 minutes after being turned off. Note that the
lampKoff command may be disabled by the D=c dampK1ff personality setting (

Effect position

R E S E T
If an effect loses its indexing and fails to move to programmed positions, the fixture can be reset from the
controller by sending the iResetk command on channel 1 for 5 seconds. Note that the D=c reset feature
may be disabled by the D=c Reset personality setting (
D I M M E R / S H U T T E R
The mechanical dimmer/shutter system provides full, highKresolution dimming, iinstantk open and blac7out,
random and variable strobe effects, and random and variable pulses in which the dimmer snaps open and
slowly dims or snaps closed and slowly opens. Shutter, strobe, and pulse effects are selected on channel 1.
The intensity level is selected on channel 2. 16Kbit 4xtended mode provides fine tuning of the intensity level
on channel 3.
C O L O R
The color wheel can be scrolled continuously K allowing for split color effects K or in steps, and rotated
randomly or continuously in both directions at different speeds. 16Kbit 4xtended mode provides finer tuning
on channel 5 of the color setting selected on channel 4.
R O T A T I N G G O B O S
The =!C 250 Arypton/4ntour has 7 indexedKrotation gobo positions plus an open position. hobos can be
indexed (positioned at a defined angle), rotated continuously, or rotated and sha7en (bounced). The gobo
and the type of movement are selected on channel 4 (channel 6 in 16Kbit 4xtended mode) and the index
