Adjustment Procedures

(1) Items to be adjusted
For this device, the following two items need to be adjusted:

Replacement parts requiring readjustment
IC201, VR201, R201, etc.
When peripheral element of IC201 is replaced
(1) Adjusting method
1.
While pressing the ON SCREEN and DVD MENU
keys
simultaneously on the DVD player, turn on the
primary power.
2.
Press the POWER switch to start the DVD player,
then "TEST" is displayed on the FL. (TEST mode
can be canceled with the POWER ON/OFF switch.)
3.
Input a 100kHz rectangular wave from the
oscillator to TP207 after cutting the DC
element by a 0.1microF capacitor. (In this case
with the oscillator mounted on the main unit,
set the amplitude of the oscillator to 250mV.)
4.
Observe the input wave to TP207, using CH1 of
the oscilloscope.
5.
Observe the output wave from TP207, using CH2
of the oscilloscope.
6.
Adjust VR201 such that the delay time from the
leading edge of the waveform of CH1 to that of
CH2 becomes 200 to 210ns, as shown in the
figure at right.
Adjust the default for the RF signal equalizer to the
001 board
center value to absorb deviation with ICs.
Adjust the slice level to improve jitter.
