4-5. POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY ADJUSTMENT
Required Equipment

Digital M ultimeter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . HP 3478A
1 . Disconnect power cord from HP 54501 A. Refer to figure 4-1 for testpoint and adjustment
locations .
2. Connect the common lead of the voltmeter to Power Supply Assembly chassis.
3. Connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to +5.15V on the Power Supply Assembly .
4. Connect the power cord to the HP 54501A and put power switch in ON position .
5 . Voltmeter should indicate voltage within the range of +5.150 V to +5 .175 V and not to exceed
upper limit of 5.2 V.
6 . If voltmeter reading is out of this range, adjust +5 ADJ on Power Supply Assembly to +5 .150 V
± .050 V (+5.125 V to +5 .175 V).
