4. Select the radio button for Specify
an IP address.
5. Enter the IP Address and Subnet
Mask
255.255.255.0, where xxx can be
any number
excluding 128. In this example, we
are using 192.168.100.160 as the
static IP Address.
6. Press OK to close all windows and allow your computer to reboot.
7. When the PC has rebooted, you may wish to check whether the IP
address was assigned correctly to it. Simply go to the Start menu,
select Run, and type winipcfg.
8. Select your network adapter from the drop-down list and click OK.
