5.6 VRRP mit Multinetting

The router allows you to combine VRRP with Multinetting.

To use VRRP with multinetting, you perform the following configuration steps
on the basis of an existing VRRP configuration
Assign a second (secondary) IP address to the port.
Assign a second (secondary) IP address to the virtual router.
interface 2/3
ip address 10.0.2.1
255.255.255.0 secondary
ip vrrp 1 ip 10.0.2.100
secondary
Perform the same configuration on the redundant router also.

Select the port at which you want to configure
multinetting.
Assign the second IP address to the port.
Assign the second IP address to the virtual router
